Pet peeve of the month

Why is it that your blogger profiles show your zodiac sign and what chinese year you were born in?
and then right under it you go on to expouse about how much you 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul'
I find this truly perplexing...
The Bible is pretty clear:
Exodus 20:3 – “Do not worship any other gods besides me.” (NLT)
Deuteronomy 4:19 – “And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven." (NIV)
I checked my profile, and discovered that the only thing it really said about me (i.e. my location) was a lie. When I was correcting it, I had a look at what information I was allowed to fill in, and I came to the conclusion that it probably automatically shows your zodiac stuff if you tell it your birthday. This may warrant a complaint to Google, if it's true.

yes it automatically does, so as christians we should automatically not fill it in... I think this is common sense really.
The image we show to the world is very important. This is even more so when you may not meet many of the people in person who click on your profile, so it is even more important that we are not portraying mixed messages because we have no way of correcting those with those particular people.
